What We're Reading Now: Murder in the Snow

Detective by James Patrick Hunt (M HUNT)
Picture this: Chicago, 1979, unremitting snow and five people (one of them a Jewish activist) murdered at an El stop. David Beckman, an inexperienced Jewish detective, lands the case and partners with experienced Sergeant Tom Regan to solve the murders. City Hall and the PD want an easy solution, but Beckman isn’t so sure. The reader learns the killer’s identity early on, but it is Beckman’s interviews and suspicions that reveal the reason behind the killings in a wrenching climax.
